The Orange Prize longlist has been announced. The Orange Prize for Fiction was established in 1996 and is awarded to the best full-length novel written in English by a female author.
The longlist features several well-known, critically received titles, including:
The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver
Black Water Rising by Attica Locke
Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel
A Gate at the Stairs by Lorrie Moore
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
The shortlist will be announced on April 20 and the winner on June 9.
